长期从事角膜病、角膜接触镜的临床与科研、白内障的生化学研究等相关研究工作。率先将硬性角膜接触镜（RGPCL）与角膜塑形镜（前身为OK镜）技术引进我国，是我国角膜接触镜领域的学术带头人。

President of Beijing YuanCheng Vision Optometry Department, Senior member of International Plastic keratology Society (MD.PhD.FAO), Council member of International Plastic Keratology Society, the first and second president of Asian Branch of International Plastic Keratology Society, honorary president, Chairman of Professional Committee of Optometry of Chinese Female Medical Association, Chairman of Contact Lens Safety Monitoring and Visual Health Professional Committee of China Health Management Association

She has been engaged in clinical and scientific research of keratopathy, contact lens, and biochemical research of cataract for a long time. She pioneered the introduction of rigid corneal contact lens (RGPCL) and orthokeratoplasty lens (formerly known as OK lens) into China, and is the academic leader in the field of corneal contact lens in China.
