王立忠教授，现任温州医科大学附属眼视光医院分子遗传生物学研究组PI，国家引进计划人才、浙江省医疗领军人才。曾任美国阿拉巴马大学伯明翰医学院遗传学系终身教授。长期从事遗传学、表观遗传学、实验动物模型研究，在Cell、Cancer Cell、Nat Commun等期刊发表原创论文近百篇。作为首席研究员，他主持20余项NIH、DOD资助项目，曾获美国医学院学者奖、美国国防部研究奖等多项荣誉。他曾担任美欧多类基金评审专家及多个专业期刊编委、审稿人，其实验室以遗传学为核心，涵盖遗传功能解析、药物鉴定等方向，研究领域包括遗传性眼病、近视防控及视网膜黄斑变性等机制研究。

Dr. Lizhong Wang is a Professor and Principal Investigator of the Wenzhou Medical University Eye Hospital, a recipient of the National Talent Program and a Zhejiang Provincial Leading Talent. He previously held a tenured professorship in the Department of Genetics at University of Alabama at Birmingham. His long-term research focuses on genetics, epigenetics, and experimental animal models, with nearly 100 original research papers published in top journals including Cell, Cancer Cell, and Nature Communications. As a principal investigator, he has led over 20 research projects funded by the NIH and DOD, and won many honors such as the U.S. Medical School Scholar Award and the U.S. Department of Defense Research Award. He has served as a review expert for various U.S. and European funding programs, as well as an editorial board member and reviewer for multiple professional journals. His laboratory centers on genetics, covering genetic function analysis and drug identification, with research areas including the mechanisms of hereditary eye diseases, myopia prevention and control, and retinal macular degeneration.
