共发表研究论文100余篇（其中SCI系列文章60余篇），先后主持三项国家自然科学基金项目、一项国家科技部课题及湖南省重点领域研发计划社会发展领域重点研发项目（配套研究经费500万）等多项省市级课题研究。杨智宽教授带领的爱尔眼视光研究所团队拥有两个省部级创新平台“湖南省眼视光工程技术研究中心”和“湖南省眼视光国际合作基地”，以及一项省部级创新团队“湖南爱尔近视眼诊疗技术创新创业团队”。累计发明专利获批十余项，其中一项是国家发明专利第一发明人。主编国家自然科学出版基金资助出版的《临床视光学》，参编及副主编十二五国家规划教材《视光学理论与方法》，主编十二五国家规划教材《视光与验配中心管理技术》。主编由科学出版社出版的近视防控科普书《让孩子远离近视——孩子成长路上必备书籍》被科技部评为2019年全国优秀科普作品，并入选2020年国家新闻出版署农家书屋重点图书推荐目录。杨智宽教授被科学出版社评为建社65周年优秀作者。是近视眼研究2008年中华医学二等奖和2011年广东省科技进步一等奖的主要参与者之一。2024年杨智宽教授获世界近视眼大会终身成就奖。

英文简介

He has published more than 100 research papers, including over 60 SCI-indexed articles. He has served as principal investigator for three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, one project funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, and multiple provincial and municipal research projects, including a key R&D program in the social development sector of Hunan Province with supporting research funding of RMB 5 million.

The team led by Professor Yang Zhikuan at the Hunan Aier Optometry Research Institute has established two provincial-level innovation platforms: the “Hunan Engineering Technology Research Center for Optometry” and the “Hunan International Cooperation Base for Optometry,” as well as one provincial innovation team, the “Hunan Aier Myopia Diagnosis and Treatment Innovation and Entrepreneurship Team.”

He has been granted more than ten invention patents, including one as the first inventor of a national invention patent. He served as editor-in-chief of Clinical Optometry, a publication supported by the National Natural Science Publishing Foundation, and participated as co-editor and associate editor of the national “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” textbook Optometric Theory and Methods. He also served as editor-in-chief of the national “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” textbook Management Techniques for Optometry and Dispensing Centers.

The popular science book on myopia prevention and control, Keeping Children Away from Myopia: An Essential Guide for Children’s Growth, edited by Professor Yang and published by Science Press, was recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China as a National Outstanding Popular Science Work in 2019 and was included in the 2020 National Recommended Book List for Rural Libraries by the National Press and Publication Administration. Professor Yang was also honored by Science Press as an Outstanding Author on its 65th anniversary.

He was one of the major contributors to the Second Prize of the Chinese Medical Science Award in 2008 for myopia research and the First Prize of the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award in 2011. In 2024, Professor Yang Zhikuan received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the World Congress of Myopia.
