博士、教授、博士生导师，中组部“千人计划”国家特聘专家、国家重点研发计划首席科学家、广东省引进创新领军人才、广东省医学领军人才。现任中山大学中山眼科中心教授、眼病防治全国重点实验室副主任（科学主任）、广东省眼科视觉科学重点实验室副主任。曾任美国国立卫生研究院眼科研究所（NIH/NEI）首席科学家、血管神经生物学研究室主任（2005—2012）。亚太血管生物学协会（APVBO）创始人兼主席。长期从事血管生物学与眼部血管性疾病研究，是PDGF-C和PDGF-D的发现者。以通讯作者或第一作者在Cell、Nature、Science、Nature Cell Biology、JCI、PNAS、Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy等国际顶尖期刊发表论文125篇，H-index 53，近五年以通讯（共同）作者发表论文37篇，其中12篇IF>20，获发明专利6项。承担国际、国家级科研项目16项，包括国家重点研发计划项目、国家自然科学基金重点国际（地区）合作研究项目等，国际特邀报告52次，组织（共同组织）国际会议12次。

PhD, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, National "Thousand Talents Program" Distinguished Expert, Chief Scientist of the National Key R&D Program, Guangdong Innovative and Entrepreneurial Leading Talent, Guangdong Medical Leading Talent. Currently serves as Professor at Zhongshan Ophthalmic Center, Sun Yat-sen University, Associate Director (Scientific Director) of the State Key Laboratory of Ophthalmology, and Associate Director of the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Ophthalmology and Visual Science. Formerly served as Principal Investigator and Chief of the Vascular Neurobiology Unit at the National Eye Institute (NEI), National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA (2005–2012). Founder and President of the Asia-Pacific Vascular Biology Organization (APVBO). She has been dedicated to vascular biology and ocular vascular diseases, and is the discoverer of PDGF-C and PDGF-D. As corresponding or first author, she has published 125 papers in top international journals including Cell, Nature, Science, Nature Cell Biology, JCI, PNAS, and Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy, with an H-index of 53. In the past five years, she has published 37 papers as corresponding (co-corresponding) author, among which 12 have an IF>20. She holds 6 invention patents. She has undertaken 16 national and international research projects, including the National Key R&D Program and the Key International (Regional) Joint Research Program of NSFC, delivered 52 invited international presentations, and organized (co-organized) 12 international conferences.
