中华医学会眼科分会常务委员、中华医学会眼科分会角膜病学组委员、中国医师协会眼科分会常委，中国医师协会眼科分会眼表干眼学组副组长、中国老年医学会眼科分会副主任委员，四川省医学会眼科眼表角膜屈光手术学组组长。主要专业眼角膜病及近视激光治疗。

先后承担国家部省级纵向和横向科研项目10余项。获得过国家科技进步三等奖 和部省级科技进步奖。发表科技论文100多篇。主编参编10余部书籍的编写。
