加州大学伯克利视光学院教授，伯克利近视防控门诊创始人, Treehouse Eyes Optometry首席科研教育官。本科毕业于北京大学，在美国获得视光学博士、科学博士、公共卫生硕士和工商管理硕士。在近视研究领域享有全球声誉，尤其在复杂离焦环境对正视化及眼球发育的影响、特殊角膜接触镜和药物近视控制效果及机制研究上有卓越的成绩。

Maria Liu is a full professor at UC Berkeley School of Optometry and the founder of UC Berkeley Myopia Control Clinic. She is also the Chief Research and Education Officer of Treehouse Eyes Optometry. She received her bachelor degree of clinical medicine from Peking University, her OD from Pacific University, her PhD and MPH from UC Berkeley. She is a world renowned clinical researcher in the field of myopia and her expertise focus on the impact of complex multifocal environment on emmetropization and myopia development, as well as novel optical and pharmaceutical treatments in myopia retardation.
