Dr. Xiuming Jin, M.D., is a Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor, and an Expert Member of the Chinese Ophthalmological Society. He was honored as one of China’s Outstanding Ophthalmologists in 2021. His clinical and research interests focus on corneal and ocular surface diseases, particularly neurotrophic keratitis, dry eye disease, corneal immune homeostasis, and ocular surface reconstruction.

Dr. Jin holds numerous national and provincial leadership positions. He is a member of the Cornea Subspecialty Group of the Chinese Ophthalmological Society and the Corneal Disease Group of the Ophthalmology Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association. Within the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, he serves as Vice Chairman of the Visual Rehabilitation Professional Committee and Head of the Dry Eye Rehabilitation Group, leading national efforts to standardize dry eye rehabilitation. He is also a committee member of the Ophthalmology Branches of the Zhejiang Medical Association and Zhejiang Medical Doctor Association, Deputy Director of the Zhejiang Provincial Center for Corneal Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Guidance, and Deputy Head of the Corneal Disease Subspecialty Group of the Ophthalmology Committee, Chinese Association of Non-Public Medical Institutions. In the regulatory arena, he contributes as an external expert for both the Center for Drug Evaluation and the Center for Medical Device Evaluation of the National Medical Products Administration.

In academic publishing, Dr. Jin serves as a Corresponding Member of the editorial board of the Chinese Journal of Ophthalmology and Medicine (Electronic Edition), a board member of the Chinese Journal of Optometry Ophthalmology and Visual Science, and an Editor for BMC Ophthalmology. Through these roles, he actively advances ophthalmic research dissemination and the development of clinical guidelines in corneal and dry eye diseases. He is frequently invited to lecture at national and international conferences, and his leadership has significantly influenced the standardization and advancement of corneal disease management in China.
