Dr. Yu-Chi Liu is an internationally recognized ophthalmologist and clinician‑scientist specializing in corneal and ocular surface diseases, neuropathic corneal pain, and regenerative medicine. She was named one of the APAO Top 100 Global Ophthalmologists in 2025 and has been ranked among the world’s top 2% scientists (Stanford list) from 2022 to 2025. She directs the Global Neuropathic Corneal Pain Platform and has published 176 peer‑reviewed papers in leading journals such as The Lancet, Ophthalmology, and The Ocular Surface. At the Singapore Eye Research Institute, she co‑leads the Regenerative Medicine Therapeutics Group, and she serves as Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Duke‑NUS Medical School. She is also a member of the AAO Global Ophthalmology Advisory Board. Dr. Liu has received 19 international and national awards, led 17 nationally funded projects totalling over SGD 8.5 million, and delivered more than 130 invited lectures at international conferences.
