全国眼底病中医医疗中心主任、湖南省重点实验室主任、湖南省工程技术研究中心主任，国家中医药领军人才“岐黄学者”。担任世界中医药学会联合会诊断分会会长、眼科分会副会长，中国中医药信息学会副会长兼中医诊断分会会长，国际数字医学会数字中医药分会会长，中华中医药学会眼科分会副主任委员、诊断分会副主任委员、中国医师协会中西医结合眼科分会副主任委员。在国内外期刊和学术会议上发表学术论文400余篇。先后承担国家科技支撑计划项目、国家重点研发计划课题、国家自然科学基金等各级科研课题40余项。获部省级科技成果一等奖5项、二等奖13项、三等奖12项，优秀教材及学术著作优秀奖3项，省级教学成果一等奖2项，二等奖2项。主编《中医眼科学》等教材及《眼科活血利水法的研究》等专著42部。

Director of The National Medical Center of Chinese Medicine for Ocular fundus disease, director of the Key Laboratory of Hunan Province, director of the Engineering And Technology Research Center of Hunan Province, and national leading talent of Chinese Medicine "Qhuang Scholar". As a branch of the world federation of Chinese medicine diagnosis, the deputy President of ophthalmic branch, China information society vice-chairman of Chinese medicine and TCM diagnosis club President, international digital medical association branch of traditional Chinese medicine, the ophthalmic branch, deputy director of the committee member of China association of Chinese medicine, diagnostic branch, deputy director of the committee, the Chinese medical doctor association of Chinese and western medicine combined with an eye branch, deputy director of the committee. He has published more than 400 academic papers in domestic and foreign journals and academic conferences. It has undertaken more than 40 research projects of national Science and Technology Support Program, National Key RESEARCH and development Program and National Natural Science Foundation of China. It has won 5 first prizes, 13 second prizes and 12 third prizes for ministerial and provincial scientific and technological achievements, 3 prizes for excellence in teaching materials and academic works, 2 first prizes and 2 second prizes for provincial teaching achievements. He is the chief editor of 42 monographs such as Ophthalmology of Traditional Chinese Medicine and research on ophthalmology Method of Promoting Blood circulation and Improving water.
