Also proficient in surgeries for lens, vitreous, retinal, macular diseases, ocular trauma, and myopia correction.

Principal investigator of over 10 projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China and provincial/ministerial-level research grants. Recipient of one Second Prize of the China TCM Science and Technology Progress Award, and one Second Prize of Teaching Award from the Provincial Department of Education. Serves as the course leader of a provincial first-class curriculum. Author of over 50 papers in SCI and Chinese core journals. Editor-in-chief of 2 textbooks/monographs, and contributor to 5 others.
